About Ajax MS
The number you call instead of all the others.
Ajax MS is an Aspen technology company. Since 2013 we have looked after the networks, smart home systems and everyday technology in homes and businesses across the Roaring Fork Valley — for a deliberately limited number of members.
Why this company exists
The technology in a modern house is not one system, it is fifteen — routers, access points, cameras, speakers, thermostats, locks, televisions, printers, laptops and whatever arrived last month. Each one has its own app, its own login and its own support line in another time zone. Ajax MS exists to be the single number you call instead of all of them.
That is not a technology problem. The equipment in most valley properties is perfectly good. The problem is ownership: fifteen systems, a dozen companies, and no single person whose job it is to make them work together. Ajax MS was set up to be that person.
How we work
Everything runs on membership. You pay a fixed monthly fee for your property and call whenever you need us — there is no hourly rate, no clock running and no reason to hesitate before picking up the phone. That matters more than it sounds. The problems that go unreported because someone did not want to trigger a call-out charge are precisely the problems that become expensive.
We supply the equipment we install, at a margin — that is how the hardware side of this business works, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. What we do not do is let it drive the advice. Most of what we recommend in a given month is repairing something, reconfiguring something, or leaving it alone, because those are usually the right answers and the membership fee does not change either way.
Why membership is capped
Membership is limited to 250 clients. The promise that the person who answers already knows your property only holds while the number of properties is small enough to know. Past that point a support company becomes a call centre, however good its intentions were. So we cap it, and when we are full we operate a waiting list.
Who runs it
Magnus Grimmett founded Ajax MS in 2013. He has spent his career building and supporting the networks, control systems and audio-visual infrastructure inside high-end homes and small businesses in the Roaring Fork Valley, and started Ajax MS because the people living in those houses needed someone to call afterwards.

Homes and businesses both
Roughly speaking, our members split between families who want one trusted expert managing the technology in their home, and small businesses — offices, shops, restaurants and hospitality properties — that need proper IT support without employing anyone to provide it. The work overlaps almost completely. A restaurant's point-of-sale network and a family's guest WiFi are the same problem wearing different clothes.
A large share of the properties we look after are second homes. That shapes how we work more than any other single factor: the owner is usually not in the state, decisions have to be made without them, and the people on site are caretakers and property managers rather than the family. Most of what we do for those houses happens while nobody is in them.
What we will tell you honestly
We will tell you when a problem is not worth solving, when a system should be replaced rather than nursed, and when the work you are describing is really a construction project that needs an integrator rather than a support membership. We would rather lose the enquiry than sell a membership that disappoints.
Our process
Survey. Put right. Look after.
Every membership starts the same way, because you cannot support a property nobody has ever written down.
01
Survey
We visit the property, document every system, network and account, and produce a written picture of what is actually installed. Most clients have never had one.
02
Put it right
We fix what is broken, replace what is failing, consolidate the apps and accounts, and leave the network and systems in a state that can be supported properly.
03
Look after it
Continuous monitoring, proactive maintenance and a number you call. Members reach a person who already knows the property, not a queue that has to start from scratch.
